Meet Our Staff
Dr. Cheryl Metzler
Dr. Cheryl Metzler hails from Green Bay and is one of ten siblings. She currently lives in Two Rivers with her husband, Dr. Ron Linzmeier, a chiropractor based in Manitowoc. Together, they have two children.
Dr. Cheryl Metzler's education, credentials, and accomplishments include:
- Attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for pre-chiropractic studies
- Played for U.W. Eau Claire's tennis team
- Obtained a chiropractic degree from Northwestern
- College of Chiropractic in 1988
- Participated in an internship in Melbourne, Australia
- After graduation, practiced in Rhode Island for five years, before returning to Green Bay to open the clinic
- Earned her Diplomat of Board Certified Internist (DABCI) degree in 2001
- After 3 years of extensive training, passed the board exam which allowed her to work with more internal disorders
Dr. Jon Swanson
Dr. Jon Swanson hails from the Northeast Wisconsin area, specifically Wrightstown, where he grew up. He has aspired to be a chiropractor since elementary school. Now, he, his wife Cassaundra, and their daughters Kendall and Kinsley have returned to Wrightstown. Dr. Jon enjoys snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing, and he cherishes spending quality time with his family.
Dr. Jon Swanson’s education, credentials, and accomplishments include:
- Attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse for pre-chiropractic studies
- Obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2015
- Is certified in the Webster Technique, which is a special technique for pregnant women
- FMT (functional movement taping) certified, which uses kinesiotape to aid in movement
- Rocktape certified
- Loves providing talks to the public and educating patients on the benefits of chiropractic and the quality of life that can be achieved with a holistic lifestyle
- He works with patients of all ages from newborn to 92, and also athletes and pregnant women
Dr. Alexander Kirchner
Dr. Alex Kirchner, a Green Bay native, graduated from Preble High School in 2012. He married his wife Sarah in 2018, and they have a daughter named Haidyn. Inspired by his own recovery from a back injury in high school through chiropractic treatment, Dr. Alex chose to pursue a career as a chiropractor. He enjoys traveling, exercising, and cherishing moments with his expanding family.
Dr. Alex Kirchner’s education, credentials, and accomplishments include:
- Attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse for pre-chiropractic studies, Graduating with a major in Biology with a medical emphasis and a minor in Chemistry
- Obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport in 2020
- Graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with the honors of Magna Cum Laude and an award for Academic Excellence
- Practiced for two years at another office in the Green Bay Area specializing in the Gonstead Chiropractic technique
- Practices the Gonstead technique along with Diversified, Activator, and Cox Flexion Distraction Techniques
- Works with patients of all ages from newborns to the young at heart!
Bruna Polonia, MSOM, LAc (Acupuncturist)
Dr. Bruna has been involved in the health field since 2006 when she began her medical studies in her hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Upon relocating to the U.S. to pursue her master's degree, she worked at an acupuncture clinic that specialized in fertility, pregnancy, and women’s health. After completing her internship at the school clinic, she continued to see patients back in Brazil. Dr. Bruna specializes in female health, chemotherapy support, and mental health, while also addressing general medicine and pain management. As a native Brazilian, she is fluent in Portuguese.
Certifications:
- Attended Fundação Técnico-Educacional Souza Marques in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has been an active Medical Doctor there since 2012
- Trained in China at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018
- Obtained a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Wongu University of Oriental Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has been an Oriental Medical Doctor since 2020
- Nationally certified by NCCAOM in all four board exams - Biomedicine, Chinese Herbology, Foundations of Oriental Medicine, and Acupuncture with Point Location
- Certified in Clean Needle Technique
